The Annual Auction and Gardner Give are the two key components of Gardner’s development program.
The Annual Auction is the biggest party of our school year. Gardner parents, friends, faculty and staff enjoy a sumptuous sit down dinner and, in a fun and competitive spirit, attempt to outdo each other as they bid for stunning student made art projects, glorious vacations, delicious dinners, and great getaway holiday packages. Your presence at our Auction helps build community and makes a significant contribution to the financial health of our dynamic school.
Charitable giving at Gardner is taking on a new look from what families might remember from the past. Prior to the 2011/12 school year, The Annual Fund was used to bridge the gap between tuition and the cost of education. Tuition was restructured in 2011/12 to cover the full cost of education
However, an excellent education requires funding beyond what tuition provides, and the Gardner School Board of Trustees decided that beginning with the 2014/15 school year, a new giving program will be used to reach beyond the core operating budget for the benefit of each and every student.
Specifically, for the 2016/17 school year, Gardner Give contributions will provide additional resources for faculty and staff professional development, technology (staff and student) financial aid, and other priorities identified by the Head of School and Board of Trustees.
You may choose how you’d like your Gardner Give contribution used, or you may designate it ‘unrestricted’ which enables the Head of School and Board of Trustees flexibility in determining the priorities most critical to enhancing and advancing Gardner’s level of excellence.
We ask all of our Gardner families to give and we ask that they give at whatever level they can -because gifts of all sizes will make a difference in the quality of our programs, the experience of every student, and the development of all our faculty.
