THE GARDNER SCHOOL OF ARTS & SCIENCES PARTNERS WITH COLLEGE OF ROBOTICS TO BRING ROBOTICS EDUCATION TO CLARK COUNTY
College of Robotics classes will provide a two week enrichment program to encourage STEM education amongst children from the ages of 7-12.
The Gardner School of Arts & Sciences (Vancouver, WA) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The College of Robotics (Portland, OR) to bring Robotics curriculum to students within Clark County.
The College of Robotics (CoR) faculty are highly qualified roboticists, teachers, software architects and experts in artificial intelligence. CoR classes steer students on a journey through the physical and virtual world – utilizing avatars to teach the kids adds another dimension to learning.
CoR Founder Steve Taylor wrote several books on robotics and is continuing to develop robotics class modules for all ages.
Classes will be 3 hours in length for 5 continuous days. The camp session will be held August 8th -12th. Classes will be held from 9 AM – 12 PM. Students from the age of 7-12 are welcome to sign up.
Our camp will provide children with a foundation to become life long roboticists who are aware of the software and technological resources available in the world – and more importantly how to make the most out of those resources.
The staff at The Gardner School aim to enhance local youth involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities in Clark County through the best possible instruction.
Parents are asked to pack a snack for their children because there will be a designated snack break during class.
Students will have the option to take their completed robot and battery pack home with them after the class is concluded (for an additional cost). Pricing begins with our early bird special of $199 ($299 including robot). Standard pricing is $299 ($349 including robot).
The Gardner School of Arts & Sciences and CoR hope to continue this partnership and further STEM education in the area through interactive Robotics courses.
