Angela Gonzalez

Art Teacher (Grades K - 8) (agonzalez@gardnerschool.org)

Angela grew up in Denver, Colorado. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University from the College of Fine and Performing Arts, with a dual focus on Photography and Printmaking. She received her Masters in Teaching from Concordia in Portland, OR. Angela has spent the past ten years bringing art to students from Kindergarten to High School. Angela enjoys all art mediums but prefers art where her hands are always a little messy, like paint, ink, charcoal, oil pastels, clay and glue! Angela believes that art is an essential part of human-expression and is a skill that can be developed by all learners. There is a medium and style for everyone, and Angela enjoys helping students find what excites them.

When not making art Angela enjoys reading and traveling with her husband and two children. She loves reading fiction, beaches with big waves, the National Parks, flying on airplanes and exploring new cities.
