Shara Parker

Mazama (Pre-K) Teacher & Spanish Teacher (Mazama)

Shara Parker grew up in Southern California where she started her journey working with children of all ages. She graduated with an Associates Degree from Golden West College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her B.A. in Human Development from Washington State University. During her time at WSU, Shara completed an internship in Early Childhood Education at The Gardner School, working closely with the Gardner’s Early Childhood Team.

Shara has been sharing her many talents with The Gardner School since the 2016-17 school year, when she began caring for Gardner children as an aftercare specialist. Since that time, Shara began teaching Spanish to our fifth through eighth grade students — and most recently has followed her passion of early childhood education by interning and now teaching in the Mazama classroom.

On the side, Shara is a violinist and has helped children realize their musical potential as well as reaching their personal goals. Along with musical abilities, Shara is also fluent and literate in Spanish.
