April Juretzka
Classroom Assistant
April has a bachelor's degree in architectural interior design from Eastern Michigan University. Her early career involved designing educational spaces, from K-12 schools to libraries and community centers. Passionate about fostering creativity, April transitioned to supporting children. After starting a family, April expanded her experience to substituting in classrooms and front office school support for five years. She started and co-lead a Kindergarten Daisy Girl Scout troop for two years and is still involved in the organization's cookie season. For eight years, she dedicated time to serving as a board member volunteer for her children’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). It was a fulfilling journey, collaborating with fellow parents, teachers, and administrators to enhance the educational experience for our students.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring the PNW mountains with her husband and two children camping, boating in the summer, and downhill skiing in the winter. Her commitment and passion to supporting children and educational staff shines through her diverse experiences and family adventures.
