Tuition and Financial Aid
At Gardner School of Arts & Sciences, we believe that learning is maximized when students of differing abilities and backgrounds work together and develop an understanding of one another. A diverse educational environment is vital to our mission: “To cultivate authentic learning through integrated experiences in a supportive community.” In service of our mission, we offer need-based tuition assistance to qualifying families. Tuition assistance is available to qualifying families of students entering Kindergarten through 6th Grade, and about half of those students receive some amount of assistance.
We encourage families to apply for tuition assistance if it can make a difference in their ability to afford a Gardner education. Families should apply for tuition assistance along with their application for admission. However, the Admission and Financial Aid processes are separate and distinct from one another, and we do not use a family’s financial situation in our consideration for a student’s admission.
Tuition Rates and Fees for 2024-2025 School Year
Early Childhood Classes (Tumtum Preschool and Mazama Pre-K)
Application Fee: $100
Tuition for 2-day Early Childhood (Tumtum Preschool)- $9,900
Tuition for 3-day Early Childhood (Tumtum Preschool and Mazama Pre-K)- $12,100
Tuition for 4-day Early Childhood (Mazama Pre-K)- $14,300
Tuition for 5-day Early Childhood (Tumtum Preschool and Mazama Pre-K)- $16,500

Kindergarten- 6th Grade Classes (Kalama, Pahto, Loowit, Wy’East, and Klickitat)
Application Fee: $100
Tuition: $21,500
Gardner School’s tuition is inclusive of all day field trips and classroom fees. Overnight field trips (Wy’East and Klickitat) expenses will be communicated with families as they are planned.
School finishes every Wednesday at 1:45 pm (K-6) or 1:00 pm (Early Childhood)
Before Care available from 7:30 am - 8:15 am at $11.00/hour.
After Care available until 6:00 pm at $11.00/hour.
If your family plans on using both Before Care and After Care the majority of time, Extended Care contracts are available that offer savings.
Payment Options and Financial Aid
Gardner School offers the following tuition payment plans and uses FACTS Management to collect tuition payments for plans A - C. The $1,000.00 non-refundable re-enrollment deposit will be applied to the total cost of tuition.
Plan A: Single payment due in July, 2024
Plan B: Two payments due July, 2024 and January, 2025
Plan C: Three payments due July, November, 2024 and March, 2025
Plan D: Ten month payments due July, 2024 - April, 2025
FACTS Management Administrative fees: $55 (subject to change).
Gardner School’s financial aid program is designed to extend access to the progressive education offered at Gardner School to students who for financial reasons would otherwise be unable to attend the school. The financial aid program also strives to support Gardner School in creating a diverse student population.
