Bebe Claus
Loowit (Grade 2) Teacher
Bebe has been involved in education since 2015 in a variety of roles, including as a special education paraeducator and learning support, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She has completed additional training in Orton-Gillingham reading instruction. Her years of work in local schools gives her a deep understanding of different learning styles and classroom support resources.
She has a true passion for education as it can be at Gardner- inquiry based, hands-on, and student focused. Her goal is to create a safe space for students emotionally, and a space where they are comfortable taking academic risks, too.
Bebe was born in Hawaii, and has Ohana on the mainland and back on the islands, but lives now in Vancouver with her husband, two of her three sons, and their dog. When not teaching, you can find Bebe paddleboarding, kayaking, creating art, doing calligraphy and crochet, gardening, and enjoying all things tropical!
